Orange City, Iowa — The Northwestern College football team has lofty expectations heading into Saturday’s season opener against Valley City State of North Dakota.
The Red Raiders finished 9-2 a year ago and lost in the opening round of the NAIA playoffs to Dickinson State. They start this season ranked 11th.

Valley City State opened the season last week with a win over Jamestown of North Dakota.
