Northwest Iowa — Spring 2017 Boys Golf State Tournaments started on Friday, and continued Saturday, May 27th. Boyden-Hull took 5th place in 1A, Sheldon ended in 4th place in 2A, and MOC-FV ended their year in 3rd place in 3A.
Class 1A: American Legion Memorial Golf Course, Marshalltown
East Buchanan was the 1A State Champion with a team score of 614 over the 2 day tournament, and Bishop Garrigan took 2nd with 632. Kaleb Hagge of Winfield-Mt Union was the State Individual Champion with 137 while Parker Oleson of North Union and Chris Cooksley of East Buchanan tied for 2nd place with 143’s.

Class 2A: Lakeside Golf Course, Fort Dodge
Clear Lake was the 2A Team Champion with a 601 2-day total, and Kuemper Catholic took 2nd place with a 604. Carter Stochl of New Hampton was the Individual State Champion. Stochl shot a 2-day 140. Will Babcock of Panorama, Ryan Ruzek of Shenandoah, and Dylan Ellis of Aplington-Parkersburg all tied for 2nd with 142.

Class 3A: Spring Valley Golf Course, Livermore
Central DeWitt took the Class 3A Team crown with a 2-day 622, and Webster City was 2nd with a 629. The individual champion was Tommy Doyle of Gilbert with a 2-day 141, and runner-up Rielly McGranahan of Central DeWitt shot a 148.
