A Dordt Defender earns GPAC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week honors

Sioux City, Iowa – A Dordt University women’s basketball player has been named a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week as announced by the GPAC Tuesday, January 21st.

Janie Van Donge of Dordt University is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women’s basketball offensive player-of-the-week.  Van Donge, a senior from Hospers, Iowa, scorched the nets for the Defenders shooting 73.7 percent from the field. She averaged 15.5 points per game in a pair of conference wins, including 19 points against Northwestern. She also grabbed 20 rebounds on the week, to average a double-double.
