Sioux City, Iowa – A Northwestern College baseball player has been named a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Baseball Player-of-the-Week as announced by the GPAC Tuesday, April 8th.
Grant Guidry is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports baseball player-of-the-week. The first baseman for the Red Raiders is a freshman from Yantis, Texas, and he launched three home runs and drove in seven runs as Northwestern went 3-1 in a weekend series at Waldorf.
He hit .563 on the week and had three multi-RBI games. In Friday’s 7-4 win, Guidry went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and a homer, while also going 3-for-4 with a run scored in Saturday’s 19-3 win.
