A Red Raider earns GPAC Men’s Soccer Player-of-the-Week honors

Sioux City, Iowa – A Northwestern College Red Raider has been named as a Great Plains Athletic Conferenec (GPAC) Men’s Soccer Player-of-the-Week as announced by the GPAC Tuesday, October 14th.

Drew Darnold of Northwestern College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Darnold, a sophomore from Papillion, Nebraska, continued his offensive onslaught, scoring four goals and adding an assist in two wins last week.

He netted his second hat trick in the last three games in Saturday’s 3-0 win at Doane, while scoring a goal and dishing out an assist in Wednesday’s 3-2 win at Briar Cliff. Darnold has scored 11 goals in his last seven outings.
