Boone Iowa — A total of 183 athletic officials are scheduled to receive awards at the Iowa High School Athletic Association’s 22nd Annual Officials’ Banquet and Recognition Ceremony, Saturday, April 30th in Des Moines at the Iowa Events Center.
Among those being honored as officials of the year in Iowa will be longtime boys and girl’s official Scott Wynja of Sheldon. Wynia is being recognized as the boys’ basketball official of the year in the state of Iowa by the Iowa High School Athletic Association.
Tim Rogers of Orange City is being honored as the Northwest District’s Aspiring New Official of the year.
Ron Baack of Spirit Lake is being recognized for his 50 years as an official.
Terry McMillen of Orange City is being recognized for 35 years.
Daniel Kruse and Eldon Maxwell of Rock Rapids along with Jeff Ten Napel of Sibley are 25 year honorees.
Timothy Brunsting of Hull and Jamie Arend of Sibley are both 15 year honorees.
The Iowa High School Athletic Association’s 22nd Annual Officials’ Banquet and Recognition Ceremony will be held Saturday, April 30th in Des Moines at the Iowa Events Center, Community Choice Credit Union.
