Rock Valley, Iowa — BHRV turned 3 turnovers into 17 points as the Nighthawks won 38-13 over Le Mars Friday night at Nick Hulst Field in Rock Valley.
The Nighthawks put 21 on the board in the first half. Kody Noble scored the first touchdown from 7 yards out midway through the first quarter. After Caleb Kats took an interception to the Le Mars 3, Noble again punched it in from 3 yards out to make it 14-0 early in the 2nd quarter, and Noble scored again from 3 yards out midway through the second quarter to make it 21-0.
Le Mars fumbled the 2nd half opening kick off, giving the Nighthawks good field position at midfield. Noble scampered to the endzone from 34 yards out to make it 28-0. After a good punt return by Nighthawks and good field position, Cole Huyser was on the receiving end of a 25 yard pass to the corner of the endzone to make it 35-0.
In the 4th, following another Le Mars fumble, Gael Enciso kicked a 27 yard field goal to make it 38-0. In the waning moments of the game, Le Mars scored twice to make the final 38-13.
Boyden-Hull improves to 3-2 on the year, and 2-1 in district play. Le Mars falls to 0-4 on the year and 0-3 in the district.
