Rock Valley, Iowa — Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley’s Landyn Van Kekerix has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career with the Iowa Hawkeyes.
The 6-2, 195 pound running back/wide receiver and linebacker help lead the Nighthawks to a Class 3A runner-up finish this past football season. In 102 touches on offense he had 1574 yards from scrimmage, with 36 touchdowns. Defensively he led the team in tackles with 76, had 3 sacks, and one interception.
Van Kekerix was named captain of the 3A All-State team, named to the first team Class 3A district 1
As a junior, Van Kekerix helped his team to a Class 3A state semifinal appearance, and led the team in receiving and tackles.
