Sioux City, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Volleyball players-of-the-week for contests played August 23-29, 2021. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2021-2022 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Defender – Erica Bousema, Dordt University (Defensive Specialist)
Dordt defensive specialist Erica Bousema is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Bousema, a senior from Sheldon, Iowa, had three straight matches with over 20 digs to start the season. She tallied 29 against Morningside in a GPAC opening 3-0 sweep and 36 in a win over Eastern Oregon.
