Northwest Iowa — The road to the State Boys Golf Tournament begins with the sectional round Thursday. Sheldon is in a sectional scheduled for Thursday with the rest of the area teams in Class 1A, 2A and 3A opening play on Friday.

Sheldon, Emmetsburg, Estherville Lincoln Central, Manson Northwest Webster, Okoboji, Pocahontas Area, South Central Calhoun and Unity hosted by Okoboji at Emerald Hills
On Friday Alta Aurelia, Cherokee, Hinton, Rock Valley, Sibley Ocheyedan, Sioux Center, West Lyon and Western will be hosted by Sioux Center
