Sioux City, Iowa — Briar Cliff coach Dennis Wagner says the next step for his program is to become a consistent winner.
After leading the Chargers to the programs first winning season in 2018 they finished 5-6 a year ago. They open Saturday at Doane of Nebraska.
Wagner hopes to accomplish that by building depth. That will be even more important while playing through a pandemic.
With a nine game schedule and so much uncertainty about whether there would even be a season Wagner says the players and coaches will savor each game.
