Broadcast Football Preview For Friday September 27th

Friday marks week five of the high school football season. On KIWA AM 1550/FM 100.7 Sheldon celebrates homecoming with Unity in town. Boyden Hull Rock Valley is also celebrating the Hull homecoming at AR Hesla Field against Sergeant Bluff Luton the number 8 team in Class 3A according to the latest Radio Iowa Poll.  

Unity is 1-3 coming off a road loss at West Lyon. The Orabs are 2-2 after a loss at State ranked Central Lyon George Little Rock with both teams dropping their district openers.

Tonight for the Orabs the focus needs to stay on what they do instead of trying to take something away from Unity Christian.

Unity Christian Head Coach Seth Swedorski is impressed with the Orabs size, but it doesn’t end there.

The biggest key Friday night will be “the big play”. The coach explains.

The Nighthawks are 1-3 after a loss at Algona the top ranked team in 3A.  They’ll meet 8th ranked Sergeant Bluff Luton at Hesla Field in Hull. SBL comes in unbeaten at 4-0.

It’s the 12th meeting between two teams that have gotten to know each other well in a series that goes back to 2011.

Sergeant Bluff Luton Head Coach Justin Smith feels there are a number of things to like about the Nighthawks.

Tonight’s outcome will rest on the Warriors ability to run the football.
