Northwest Iowa — The Class 1A District 1 All District Football Team has been announced. District Champion West Lyon put 8 players on the the squad. District runner up Western Christian had 7 players named. Unity Christian featured 5 players with Sibley Ocheyedan with two players on the squad. Emmetsburg had 6 named to the first team. Alta Aurelia had 3 named to the squad while Okoboji had one player named to the first team.
Special honors included Jaden Snyder of West Lyon named offensive MVP along with first team quarterback honors and the kickers position on the first team as well. Monte Pottabaum of the Wildcats was named the defensive MVP from his linebacker spot. The specialist is Dylan Snyders of West Lyon. Team mate Tanner Oleson was named lineman of the year. This years first team punter is Adam Viet from Unity Christian.
Coaching honors were swept by West Lyon with Head Coach Jay Rozeboom, offensive assistant Jeremy Childress and defensive assistant Koury Kramer all recognized with coach of the year honors. For all team members first, second and honorable mention click on the link below.
