Northwest Iowa — The Class 1A District 1 All-District Football Teams have been released and the Western Christian Wolfpack, West Lyon Wildcats and the Generals of Sibley Ocheyedan are well represented.
The Wolfpack put 8 players on the first team including Tyson Kooima, Ben Granstra, Ben Gesink, Caden Fenchel, Jake Uittenbogaard, Justin Grevengoed, Jesse Jansma and Colyn Oostenink. Gesink was named All District specialist on the year with linemen of the year honors going to Fenchel. Kooima was the co-offensive MVP , sharing the award with Jay Small of Hinton. Western’s Travis Kooima was named coach of the year with Ethan Kooima sharing defensive assistant coach of the year honors with Jared VanderZanden of West Lyon.
The Wildcats produced 6 first team players. They include Dylan Huyser, Monte Pottebaum, Tanner Oleson, Jaden Snyder, Darin Knoblock and Noah Van’t Hof. The Wildcats Kully Kramer was named assistant offensive coach of the year.
Sibley Ocheyedan had 3 players named to the first team. They were Matt Naig, Garrett Sayler and Colvin Jenness. Trent Kruger was named all district punter.
