Cyclones Hold First Open Practice

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State’s offense will have a new look as it prepares for life post-Brock Purdy, Breece Hall and Charlie Kolar.

Iowa State fans got their first glimpse of the Cyclones on Friday night at an open practice at Ames High School.

The heir apparent at quarterback is Hunter Dekkers, who backed up Purdy the previous two seasons. Dekkers will likely look often in the direction of wide receiver Xavier Hutchinson, who has 147 career catches and decided to return for his extra year of eligibility.
