Orange City, Iowa — The Red Raider men’s soccer program added more to their 2020 class with the signing of Adam De Boer of MOC-Floyd Valley. Their 2020 class now has 21 signings as they look to replace six graduating seniors.
Adam comes to Northwestern after having his senior season cancelled before it even began. He is a versatile player, getting significant minutes at a variety of positions during his high school career under head coach Blake Wieking. As a junior, Adam started every match that he played in, at right back. He is a two-time 1st team all-conference honoree. He was a stand-out athlete in high school, earning 1st team all-conference honors as a baseball player, and 1st team academic all-conference as a basketball player. Adam is a member of the National Honor Society and plans to major in elementary education with an endorsement in special education.
Swier on De Boer: “Adam will be a fun player to coach. He has the combination of size, athleticism, and receptiveness to instruction that will lead to growth as a player. I am excited about his strong character off the field and potential to be a leader in our program in the years to come.”
