DeSmet was named the District Lineman of the Year and earned first team all-district honors two years. He was selected to the all-Sioux City Journal team and earned second team all-state accolades as a junior.

“Jordan is a talented football player,” commented Northwestern Head Coach Matt McCarty. “He is strong, physical and possesses good size. Jordan has been coached well and completed a decorated high school career by leading his team to a state title. We are thrilled to have Jordan join our Red Raider football team.”
