Orange City, Iowa — Daniel Donovan of Sanborn has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next year.
Donovan is a 5’11”, 182-pound linebacker who played three years for Western Christian High School. Donovan accounted for 42 tackles and helped lead his team to the state quarterfinals with an 8-3 record last fall. As a junior, he recorded 27.5 tackles and a pair of fumble recoveries for a Wolfpack team that won the state championship and finished with a 12-1 record. Donovan plans to major in criminal justice at Northwestern and is the son of Dan and Karin.
“Daniel is an exceptional fit for our program,” said Northwestern head coach Matt McCarty. “Daniel has been coached well and played for a very good program at Western Christian. He will excel at Northwestern College and will play a key role in building a championship culture.”
