Dora Pervan commits to NCC women’s soccer team

Northwest Iowa Community College has announced the latest addition to its women’s soccer team roster: Dora Pervan.

Hailing from Livno, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Pervan brings a wealth of talent, dedication, and international experience to the Thunder roster. Pervan’s decision to join NCC underscores her belief in the benefits of a smaller school environment, where she said she aims to focus on her personal, academic, and athletic development at NCC.

Pervan plans to study Business Management at NCC.

“I chose NCC because of the perks that a smaller school provides. I believe that at NCC I will be able to focus more on my development as a person, student, and an athlete,” she said.

With a strong background in soccer, Pervan brings experience to The Thunder.

“I played soccer in high school. I played outside back and center back,” Pervan noted.

Her dedication to the sport extended beyond high school, as she actively participated in club soccer, further honing her skills on the field. Coach Tre Thomas is thrilled about Pervan’s arrival, emphasizing her experience and academic excellence.

“I am very excited about the addition of Dora. Dora is a transfer from NCAA DII American International. She has experience playing at a high level and I’m ecstatic to have that experience transfer here. She is an athletic defender/winger that can bring versatility to the team. She is also a high academic student that carries a 4.0 GPA. She will be a fantastic student athlete and I can’t wait to see what she does.”
