Dordt 11th, NWC 12th After Day One Of Concordia Invite

Lincoln, Nebraska — The Dordt Defender women’s golf team is in 11th place, and Northwestern shot a 371 and is in 12th place after Tuesday’s round, nine shots in back of Dordt of the Concordia Bulldog Invite hosted at the Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The Defenders shot a first day total of 362 and is four shots out of tenth place entering play on Wednesday.

Morningside shot a 304 and is 22 shots clear of its nearest competitor.

Gianna Van Klaveren led Dordt with an 85 and Rylie Brown had an 89 for the Defender effort.  Van Klaveren is tied for 20th and Brown 36th in the 90 golfer field.

Wednesday’s final round will begin at 10am.

For Northwestern, Kate Wynja is the front-runner for Head Coach Courtney Den Herder’s squad, tied for 39th place with a 91. Morgan Roberts is close behind, in a tie for 46th with a 92. Both Hayley Carlson and Maddie Schrack are tied for 52nd with a 94 and Taylor Van Ostrand is currently tied for 64th with a 97.
