Orange City, Iowa — Dordt will travel to Northwestern on Tuesday, October 23 in GPAC play to face the Red Raiders.
Northwestern is 21-5 this season and 12-2 in GPAC play with losses in the league to Dordt and Morningside. Northwestern has won five matches in a row since the win over Morningside on October 2.
Northwestern has a 14.26 kills per set average with a .288 team kill efficiency. Northwestern has a 163-98 service ace advantage this season and has averaged 2.15 blocks per set while allowing 1.44.
Lauryn Hilger has a 4.57 kills per set average with a kill efficiency of .335. Makenzie Fink puts down 2.57 kills per se and Josie Blankespoor is at 2.31. Lacey Wacker averages 11.72 assists per set and gets to 1.89 digs. Emily Strasser has a 3.90 dig average and has 30 service aces while Hilger has a team high 41 aces.
Dordt has a 20-2 record this fall and stands 13-0 in the GPAC. Dordt’s last loss was a 3-2 decision at Grand View on September 7. Dordt’s other loss is a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Rocky Mountain.
Ema Altena leads the team with a 4.06 kill average and she has a .302 kill efficiency while getting to 2.43 digs per set and she has 21 ace serves this year. Leah Kamp is averaging 2.73 kills per set with a .318 kill efficiency while Ally Krommendyk’s average is 2.24 with a .287 efficiency. Krommendyk hasn’t played since the win over Jamestown on October 9. Jessi De Jager and Julia Lindbergh are good for 1.71 and 1.93 kills per set respectively as Dordt averages 13.97 and has a team kill efficiency of .264. Lydia Smits has a 1.21 kills per set average.
Jamie De Jager is putting up 10.79 assists per set with 24 aces and 2.26 digs per outing. She also has a 1.0 kills per set average. Hannah Connelly has 20 ace serves and Aubrey Drake has 16 aces and leads the team in digs with 5.14 per game. Dordt has a 118-83 service ace advantage and scores 2.41 points per set on blocks and allow 1.73.
Dordt will host Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday, October 27 and concludes the regular season with Bellevue on Tuesday, October 30.
