Dordt Football Travels For Season Finale

Jamestown, North Dakota — The Dordt football team will travel to face Jamestown in Jamestown, North Dakota on Saturday, November 13 at 1:00.

Dordt is 6-3 this season and bids for their fourth straight season of seven wins or more in the game Saturday. The Defenders are also rated no. 25 in the NAIA Coaches’ Poll heading into the final weekend of the season.

Dordt runs for 294 yards per game and pass for 214 while opponents get 140 on the ground and 207 in the air. All totaled Dordt outgains teams 508-347 on average and outscore teams 40-21.

Dordt’s starting quarterback will be Kade McDaniel and the freshman is 42-74 passing for 661 yards and three touchdowns. McDaniel has also rushed 59 times for 302 yards and two touchdowns.

Levi Jungling is Dordt’s leading receiver with 54 catches and a 16.1 yards per catch average and eight touchdown grabs. Eli Boldan has 29 catches for 15.4 yards per catch and three touchdowns and Hayden Large has 19.7 yards per catch on 17 grabs.

Anthony Trojahn is Dordt’s leading ground gainer with 671 yards this season on 110 carries for a 6.1 yards per carry average and Josh Bush has 468 yards on 62 carries for a 7.5 average and he has five touchdown runs and Trojahn has 11.

Tanner Millikan is Dordt’s leading tackler with 39 solo and 27 assisted stops and Brayton Van Kekerix has 37 solo and 19 assisted stops with an interception. Abe Stoesz has 31 solo and 10 assisted tackles and Jalen Placide has 30 and 11. Stoesz has 2.5 sacks and two interceptions and Drew Daum has four acks and Colton Vander Berg has a team high 4.5 sacks.

Brett Zachman is 8-12 on field goals with a school record 51 yard conversion for his long of the season. Zachman is also 40-43 on point after tries. Blade Koons handles the punting and a 38.8 average on 26 attempts.

The Jimmies are 2-8 this season and average 21 points per game and allow 36.4 points per outing. Jamestown runs for 41 yards per game and pass for 286 while allowing 251 yards per game in the air and 183 rushing.
