Jessica Hernandez Vargas, a senior at Sioux Center High School, has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.
“We are excited for Jessica to be joining the team and adding another local athlete who is contributing to taking soccer in the right direction for Northwest Iowa,” said Dordt soccer coach Alex Durbin.
Hernandez Vargas was an honorable mention all-conference selection in 2019.
“Dordt is a great place filled with many great people–it really feels like home,” said Hernandez Vargas.
Jessica is the daughter of Blanca Vargas of Sioux Center, Iowa. She plans to study Education at Dordt.
