Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2020-2021 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Cross Country Runners-of-the Week
Women – Taylor Anema, Dordt University
Taylor Anema of Dordt University is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Anema, a freshman from Ripon, California, was the top NAIA finisher at the Briar Cliff Invite at McCook Lake, South Dakota. She led the Defenders to a team title by 28 points over second place and shaved 29 seconds off her time from two weeks earlier on the same course.
Men – Eric Steiger, Dordt University
Eric Steiger of Dordt University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week. Steiger, a junior from Lynden, Washington, was the top NAIA finisher at the Briar Cliff Invite with a tenth place time of 24:55 on the 8k course. His performance, which was 36 seconds faster than two weeks ago on the same course, helped the Defenders to a runner-up finish to Iowa Central.
