Dordt will travel to Sioux City to face the Briar Cliff Chargers in GPAC volleyball. The junior varsity match will start at 6:00 and the varsity will get underway at 7:30.
Briar Cliff is 8-11 this season and 3-8 in the GPAC with conference wins over the College of Saint Mary, Mount Marty and Doane. The Chargers have won four of their last six contests after a nine match losing streak from September 9-October 7.
Briar Cliff has averaged 11.69 kills per set with a .193 kill efficiency and limit teams to .190 for a kill efficiency while holding a 2.13-1.37 points off of blocks advantage to go with a 104-90 ace serves edge.
The Defenders are 8-5 overall and 7-5 in the league after winning back to back matches last weekend over Hastings and Doane.
Dordt is averaging 13.3 kills per set with a .248 kill efficiency and has a 54-38 ace serves edge. The Defenders also record 2.44 points per set on blocks while allowing 12.2 kills per set with 1.4 blocks per outing.
Dordt’s next action as the road swing continues will be on Friday, October 23 at Yankton against Mount Marty and on Saturday at the College of Saint Mary in Omaha.
