Dordt Volleyball Falls To Jamestown

The Dordt Defender volleyball team lost a 3-1 decision on the road to the Jamestown Jimmies Tuesday night, September 29 in GPAC play.

The Defenders started slowly, trailing 20-11 before staging a comeback and tying the score at 22-22 on a Grace Langemeier block. Jamestown recovered to score the next three points and took set one 25-22.

Dordt never led in set two and trailed 20-18 before a four point run by the hosts put them up 24-18 and the Jimmies won 25-19. Dordt was able to reverse fortune in the third set and raced to a 7-1 lead and held on to a substantial advantage the whole way in winning 25-19.

Jamestown wasted little time in re-establishing control in set four, getting up by a 6-1 count and maintaining at least a four point lead the rest of the way for a 25-18 win.

Dordt is now 5-2 overall while Jamestown is 3-0.

Dordt will host Concordia on Friday night, October 2.
