Dordt Volleyball Travels To Jamestown Tonight

Dordt will play a GPAC match on Tuesday, September 29 against Jamestown in North Dakota. The JV match will start at 6:00 and the varsity match at 7:30.

Jamestown is 2-0 since having its season opener delayed until September 25.  The Jimmies have wins over Dordt and Morningside to their credit and won both of those matches on the road by 3-1 scores.

Anna Holen leads the team with a 3.13 kills per set average and she also gets four digs per set. Kalli Hegerle is good for 2.75 kills per set and Jayla Ritter is good for 2.13 kills per set from the middle blocker position. Ritter, Corinna Huff and Taylor Sabinash all average over a block per set.

Jackie Meiklejohn is good for seven assists per set and Sydney Ellingson puts up 5.38 digs per set.  Megan Gaffaney adds 4.38 assists per set in the Jamestown two-setter offense.

The Defenders are 5-1 after a loss to Jamestown on Friday night and stand 4-1 in GPAC play.

Karsyn Winterfeld has a 2.7 kills per set average with 2.67 digs per outing.  Jessi De Jager puts in 2.71 kills per outing and has a .397 kill efficiency. Brenna Krommendyk is at 2.48 kills per set and Corrina Timmermans averages 2.05 kills per set with 2.52 digs per outing.  Hannah Connelly leads the team with 4.9 digs per set. Megan Raszler and Corina Beimers are at 6.57 and 4.9 assists per set.  Dordt averages 13.3 kills per set with a .256 kill efficiency while getting 2.76 points per set on blocks.  Dordt also has a 1.33 service ace per set average.

Dordt will host Concordia on Friday, October 2 in a match that was originally scheduled for Saturday, October 31.
