Dordt continued to add to the lead in the second quarter, as the Defenders went up by 16 when Erika Feenstra chased down an offensive rebound and Mya Chmielewski made the bucket in the paint. The Defenders added pressure in the final minute of the half, as Chmielewski and Bailey Beckman stole the ball on back-to-back possessions, both opportunities leading to layups.
