Dordt Women’s Golf Finishes 11th, NWC 12th At Concordia Invite

Lincoln, Nebraska — The Dordt Defender women’s golf team finished with an 11th place 722, and Northwestern’s 36-hole total of 725 got them a finish of 12th out of 15 teams after day two of the Concordia Bulldog Invite held in Lincoln, Nebraska on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 6 and 7.

Dordt shot a two-day total of 362-360=722 and was 18 strokes out of tenth and three strokes in front of 12th place.

All four Northwestern golfers who played in both rounds shot a better score today than in Tuesday’s first round. Kate Wynja was the top Raider finisher, tying for 42nd place with a 179 after shooting a final round 88. Morgan Roberts was not far behind, alone in 47th place, with a 181 (92/89). Freshman Maddie Schrack shot her second best round of the season (89) and finished 50th with a 36-hole total of 183. Taylor Van Ostrand carded her season-best, 88, and tied for 51st with a 185. Sophie Swart shot a 100 in today’s second round, taking the place of Hayley Carlson, who competed in just the first round.

Dordt’s Gianna Van Klaveren shot an 85-90=175 to finish tied for 32nd and Rylie Brown had an 89-89=178 to tie for 37th place.

Morningside won the meet with a 304-313=617 and was 24 strokes clear of the runner-up finisher, while Bellevue’s Dominika Gradecka was the individual medalist with a 148 (+4).
