Sioux Center, Iowa — Logan Cline, a junior from Cheyenne, Wyoming, joined the Dordt baseball 100-hit club as he went 3-5 at the plate against Doane on Saturday afternoon, March 20 in game two of the twin bill.
“This is an exciting milestone for Logan. It has been a joy coaching him the last two years. Logan is a model of what the Defender Way lays out and it is great seeing a high character young man have success on the diamond,” said Dordt baseball coach Nathan Bacon.
Cline now has 102 career hits midway through his third season with the Defenders and has a career .391 batting average. Cline had 42 hits in 2019 and 23 in a shortened 2020 season. He currently ahs 37 hits in 2021 and is batting .457. He ranks 21st on the all-time hits list at Dordt. Cline has played in 75 games during his career.
