Dordt’s Wolf Named GPAC Cross Country Coach Of The Year

Dordt University’s Nate Wolf has been named the 2020 Great Plains Athletic Conference Cross Country Coach of the Year for both the women’s and men’s seasons this fall. Wolf guided both teams to the GPAC Championship in early November.

“Coach Wolf continues to embody the ethos of the Defender Way – that one can be excellent in all endeavors, including athletic success. His runners love competing and are viable leaders on campus. This is a testament to Coach Wolf’s intentionality as a coach. Nate has the uncanny ability to peak the performance of his athletes as demonstrated by the results at the GPAC Championships. Dordt University is grateful for the outstanding leadership Nate Wolf provides,” said Ross Douma, Dordt Director of Athletics.

Wolf coached the Defender women to the programs fourth GPAC title since his first season at Dordt in 2015. The men’s team has won three GPAC titles in a row from 2018-20 and he has also coached the Defenders to a combined three runner-up finishes in those six seasons.

This is the fourth time Wolf has been named the Women’s Cross Country GPAC Coach of the Year at Dordt and the third time he has claimed the Men’s Cross Country GPAC Coach of the Year.
