Erica Thorn of Hartley, Iowa has signed with the Briar Cliff women’s basketball team to continue her basketball career next year with the Chargers. The complete release is below.
Briar Cliff head women’s basketball coach Mike Power has announced the signing of Erica Thorn to his 2015-16 recruiting class. Thorn is a native of Hartley, Iowa and she is currently in her senior year at Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn High School.
Thorn is a nine-time letterwinner for the Hawks with four in basketball, three in volleyball and two in track. As a senior, she was named honorable mention all-conference after averaging 5.7 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, 1.6 assists per game and 1.7 steals per game.
Outside of athletics, Thorn is involved in National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and Student Council. She has been named to the honor roll all four years of her high school career.
Erica is the daughter of Brent and Kristin Thorn and is looking to major in nursing at BCU.
