Dawson Feenstra, a senior at Western Christian High School, has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender basketball program.
“We are excited to have Dawson join our Defender family. He has improved a lot over the last couple of years and he has a great work ethic. We are looking forward to having him make a difference on this campus,” said Dordt basketball coach Brian Van Haaften.
Feenstra, a 6-3 forward/guard, averaged 14.8 points per game for Western and was a three-year starter for the Wolfpack. He converted 43 percent of his three-point shots and averaged three rebounds per game. As a junior Feenstra scored 10.8 points per game. Feenstra was named first-team all-Lakes Conference at the conclusion of the 2020 season.
“Dordt is intentionally focused on Christ-like learning. It also has high academic standards,” said Feenstra.
Dawson is the son of Randy and Lynette Feenstra of Hull, Iowa. He plans to study Business Administration at Dordt.
