The first Radio Iowa Football Poll of the season is out ahead of this week’s season openers. Some opening night games will in the area will feature top 10 matchups.
In Class 3A Boyden Hull Rock Valley is ranked number 4. They will host Central Lyon George Little Rock the top ranked team in 2A in one of our broadcast games Friday night. Also ranked in 3A is Sioux Center in the #9 spot. The Warriors make the move up to 3A this year and open the season in Sheldon in our other Friday broadcast game. Sergeant Bluff Luton opens the year at #5 in the poll.
Back to Class 2A West Lyon opens the season at #4. They will host Western Christian ranked #9 in the 1A poll. Estherville Lincoln Central begins the year at #9 in the 2A poll.
Another match up of ranked teams will be in 1A with #2 West Sioux at HMS. The Hawks open at #9 in the Class A poll. In 8 player football Remsen St. Mary’s is ranked #5.
