Football Friday Broadcast Preview For September 11th

Northwest Iowa — Week three of the high school football season marks the beginning of district play. Sheldon will be at Sioux Center while Boyden Hull Rock Valley travels to Sergeant Bluff Luton.

The Orabs are coming off a road win at South O’Brien and will take a 1-1 record into their game with the 2-0 Warriors who are ranked #6 in the latest Radio Iowa Poll. Sioux Center posted a home win over LeMars last Friday night.

Sheldon Head Coach Tyler Lloyd feels the Orabs will have to be ready for a physical game.

Lloyd sees the keys to the game this way.

Sioux Center Head Coach Tim Van Regenmorter is impressed with the high level of athleticism of the Orabs.

Van Regenmorter looks for a tight game that will be decided in the fourth quarter.

The Coach Kory Roos joins LA for the broadcast on FM 100.7 and AM 1550.

 

The Nighthawks are back in Class 3A this season and take a 1-1 record to Sergeant bluff Luton. The Warriors are 1-1 and ranked #10 in Class 3A. The Warriors fell on the road to #4 Lewis Central last Friday while BHRV fell at home to West Lyon who is ranked #3 in the latest 2A poll.

Nighthawks Head Coach Corey Brandt on the importance of fundamentals on offense.

Brandt also talked about the return to Class 3A this year.

Sergeant Bluff Luton Head Coach Justin Smith has a great deal of respect for the Nighthawks.

For Smith the key to a win involves the two most basic principals of football.

Jon and Justin Hellinga continue full season coverage of Nighthawk football on KIWA FM 105.3. Pregame for both contests will begin at 6:30 from the game sites with opening kickoff set for 7:00. Both games will be streamed from the website at www.kiwaradio.com.
