Ames, Iowa — The chip is back on the shoulder of former Iowa State linebacker Mike Rose.
The native of Ohio was lightly recruited out of high school but became a four year starter at ISU and the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. His name was not called during last months NFL Draft and he is attempting to make the roster of the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent.
Rose says rookie mini-camp was a learning experience for him.
Rose admits it was frustrating not getting drafted.
