Sioux City, Iowa – A former Western Christian athlete has been named as a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Volleyball Player-of-the-Week as announced by the GPAC Tuesday, November 4th.
Stella Winterfeld is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker-of-the-Week. Winterfeld, a junior from Sioux Center and a former standout at Western Christian, led the Raider offense in a pair of sweeps and helped Northwestern clinch the GPAC regular season title last week.
She averaged 5.67 kills per set, putting up 18 and 16, respectively. In Saturday’s win at Morningside, Winterfeld had 16 kills with eight digs and six blocks.
