Friday Football Preview For 10/17/25

The regular season comes to a close for most Iowa High School Football teams this week. On KIWA AM 1550/FM 100.7 it’s Sheldon at Cherokee. The Orabs are 1-6 (0-4) coming off a home loss to Central Lyon George Little Rock. Cherokee leads the District at 5-2 (3-1) after a home win over Western Christian.

Orab Head Coach Andy Cooper says the same thing that’s gotten everyone’s attention when it comes to the Braves jumps out at him too.

On KIWA FM 105.3 season long coverage of Nighthawk football continues with Boyden Hull Rock Valley as the road team in a matchup against Western Christian at AR Hesla Field in Hull. The Nighthawks are 4-3 (2-2) after a narrow home lost Unity Christian.
