The George Recreational Trail Committee is proud to announce that they will be hosting a “5k Fun Run and 1 mile-ish Walk” in conjunction with the annual Freedom Days festivities. The run will be held on Saturday, July 6 at 8:00 a.m. with packet pick-up encouraged the evening of Friday, July 5.
Awards will be given to the top 3 5k finishers in each age & gender bracket. The race will be held on the Recreation Trail, with the race beginning at the intersection of L-14 and A-34 (also known as Locker Pond). All proceeds will go toward Rec Trail improvements. The cost to participate is $25 if registered before June 22.
