Mikayla Gloden, a senior at MOC FV High School, has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender dance and cheer programs.
“I am very excited Mikayla has decided to attend Dordt University next year and be a part of both the cheer and dance teams. Mikayla has been a part of her cheer and dance team all four year in high school and will be a great addition to our programs next year. She seems eager to learn and try new things and I am looking forward to seeing her grow through her time here at Dordt,” said Dordt cheer and dance coach Mel Knobloch.
Gloden has been a four-year member of the MOC FV dance program and has been involved with cheer all four years as well. She also has a background in gymnastics and is a National Honor Society member.
“I am choosing to come to Dordt because the environment is extremely welcoming and I know they care about my future and will help me to succeed. I know it’s a place where I will be able to thrive as well as grow in my faith and further in my education,” said Gloden.
Mikayla is the daughter of Brenda and Terry Gloden of Hosper, Iowa. She plans to study Criminal Justice and Psychology.
