Sioux City, Iowa – A Hospers native and former Unity Christian girls’ basketball standouot has earned a sweep of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) women’s basketball honors for this week.
Gracie Schoonhoven has been named the GPAC Women’s Offensive Player-of-the-Week as well as the GPAC Women’s Basketball Defensive Player-of-the-Week.
Schoonhoven, a junior from Hospers, Iowa, scored a career high 30 points and grabbed a career high 15 rebounds in Dordt’s win over no.25 Hastings on Saturday. Averaged a double-double in points and rebounds and also averaged four steals and two blocked shots per game in a pair of wins.
She also averaged 10.5 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocked shots per game in a pair of wins over Northwestern and No. 25 Hastings.
