Great Plains Athletic Conference Plans On Offering Fall Sports

Sioux City, Iowa — The Great Plains Athletic Conference is planning on offering a fall sports season.

GPAC commissioner Corey Westra says they have formed a task force to look at a return from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Westra says students must return to campus for athletics to be offered in the fall.

Westra says the NAIA has set a July first target date for a decision on fall sports.

Westra wants to task force to come up with recommendations before the end of June.

Morningside, Briar Cliff, Dordt and Northwestern are all members of the GPAC.
