Orange City, Iowa — Britta Harberts has signed a letter of intent to continue her basketball career at Northwestern College next year.
Harberts is a 6’0” forward who played three years for Sibley-Ocheyedan High School. Harberts averaged a team-high 11.5 points and 9.3 rebounds in earning all-conference honors for the second consecutive year. Named team captain and team’s most valuable player, Harberts is a member of both the National Honor Society and honor roll. She is the daughter of Lennis and Marvella.
“On behalf of Northwestern College and our women’s basketball program, we welcome Britta to our campus community and basketball family,” commented head Northwestern coach Chris Yaw. “We are excited that Britta has chosen to continue her academic and athletic career as a Red Raider. She is a quality young lady who has a strong work ethic, both in the classroom and on the court. We look forward to the positive impact Britta will have at Northwestern beginning in the fall.”
