High Flying Nighthawks Top Midgets

Rock Valley, Iowa – The #7 Nighthawks’ strong first half  and stout defense catapulted Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley to a 49-7 victory over the Estherville-Lincoln Central Midgets Friday night at Nick Hulst Field in Rock Valley.

BHRV scored 21 first quarter points of the legs of Billy Rankin and JT Van’t Hul, along with a Cade Moser with a 62 yard TD reception. The Nighthawks kept piling it on in the 2nd quarter. Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley added 14 more with another Cade Moser TD reception and an Elliott Van Kekerix touchdown run making it 35-0 heading into the half.

The Nighthawks added yet another touchdown in the 3rd with a one play 60 yard bomb to Jaden Den Boer to push it to 42-0 BHRV.

The Midgets finally got on the board early in the 4th when Alec Heifner found Bennett Loock from 5 yards out to make it 42-7 Nighthawks. Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley added one more touchdown late in the contest as Keyton Moser took the troops 80 yards for the touchdown making it 49-7 and that would be your final.

The Nighthawks improve to 2-1 on the year, 1-0 in the district, and will travel to Sheldon next week to take on the undefeated Orabs. The Midgets fall to 1-2 on the year, 0-1 in district play, and are on the road against Central Lyon/George-Little Rock next Friday.
