Hartley, Iowa — HMS Hawk Lance Berends is receiving Division 1 football offers as a defensive lineman.
The 6’4″ 250lbs lineman has received offers from Air Force, Army , Idaho, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Eastern Michigan, and Western Illinois. Berends has also visited Kansas State.
During his junior year for the Hawks, Berends recorded 57.5 total tackles, 43 of them solo, 2 sacks, and 10.5 tackles for a loss.
A multi-sports athlete, Berends also earned all conference and all district basketball honors for scoring 472 points on the season, with 65 blocks and 306 rebounds.
