Hofland To Join Red Raider Football

Jackson Hofland of Orange City has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Hofland is a 6’0″, 175-pound wide receiver and defensive back who played four years for the Unity Christian High School football team. Hofland tied the Knights’ single season record with 24 catches for 307 yards and three touchdowns in earning all-district honors as a junior. He accounted for 28.5 tackles and one interception on defense. Hofland was named team captain as a senior and received Academic All-State and all-district honors. Hofland plans to study Biology / Health Professions / Pre-Medicine at Northwestern and is the son of Wade and Joslyn.

“Jackson is very good athlete who understands the game well,” commented Northwestern Head Coach Matt McCarty. “He was the Knights top receiver as a junior before a season-ending injury ended a promising senior year. Jackson is a great teammate and a high-character young man. We are excited to have Jackson be part of the Red Raider football team and look forward to the impact he will have on our team and our campus.”
