Hulstein Signs With Dordt Football

Trey Hulstein, a senior at Unity Christian High School, has announced his intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender football program.

Hulstein earned first-team all-district honors and academic all-district honors during his career and played both offensive and defensive line during his high school career. He was in on 28.5 tackles in 2017 and was part of an offensive line that blocked for a 1,000 yard rusher.

“Trey is a huge sign for us because it signifies another important local recruiting victory. He is another great addition to our offensive line and we believe he will flourish at tackle due to his mobility and physicality. He is a tremendous fit for Dordt and I am excited to see him close his potential performance gap,” said Dordt College football coach Joel Penner.

Trey is the son of Greg and Christy Hulstein of Sioux Center, Iowa. He plans to study Business Administration at Dordt College.
