Hulstein To Continue At Northwestern

Northwestern College logoOrange City, Iowa — Mariah Hulstein (Sioux Center, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Northwestern College next year.

Hulstein is a multi-sports standout who played three years for the Sioux Center High School volleyball team. The 5’6” libero totaled 29 ace serves and a team-high 317 digs, averaging 3.2 per set, in earning honorable mention all-conference honors. Hulstein was part of a Warriors team that qualified for the state tournament and finished 31-9 overall. Also a letterwinner in track, basketball and softball and an all-conference selection in in softball, Hulstein is an honor roll student and member of the National Honor Society. She plans to major in Social Work at Northwestern and is the daughter of Murray and Fonda.

“Mariah had a great high school volleyball career that concluded with a trip to the state tournament,” commented head coach Kyle Van Den Bosch. “Mariah has the ability to play all three back row positions in our program. We are excited that she will be continuing her education and volleyball career at Northwestern College.”
