IAHSAA Basketball Pairings

Statewide Iowa — District and substate pairings for the 2022 basketball postseason will be shared below as they become available.

Class 2A and Class 1A brackets are being released on Friday, Feb. 4. Class 4A and Class 3A brackets will be available following seeding meetings on Feb. 5-6.

Preliminary round games in Class 1A are scheduled for Friday, Feb. 11. First round games in Class 2A and Class 1A begin on Monday, Feb. 14. Opening round substate games for Class 4A and Class 3A tipoff on Monday, Feb. 21.

Bracket seedings are selected by coaches in district and substate meetings. Brackets are displayed in district and substate formats through the links below.

Eight teams from each class advance to the 2022 state tournament, set for March 7-11 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Host sites subject to change. For more information on the postseason process, please view the Basketball Postseason Manual.
