Des Moines Iowa — The Iowa Girls Coaches Association has released their All State Softball Teams for 2018.
In Class 1A: Senior Brynn Van Eldik from Akron Westfield earned a spot on the first team. Senior Danika Smith also from Akron Westfield was named to the second team. Senior Veda Pick of Remsen St Mary’s earned a spot on the third team.

In Class 2A: Sophomore Taryn Hintz of South O’Brien was named to the first team. West Sioux sophomore Shayden Blankenship was also named to the first team. West Sioux Sophomore Erika McKenney was named to the second team along with West Lyon junior Madyson Grotewold and South O’Brien junior Bailey Tjossem. Named to the third team were West Lyon senior Rachael Joachim and South O’Brien sophomore Sydney Struve.

In Class 3A: BHRV senior Kaitlyn Van Der Zwaag earned first team honors. She was joined by Spirit Lake sophomore Karli Olsen and Indians junior Payton Ahrenstorff. Junior Kelsey Kannenberg of Spirit Lake was named to the second team. Also earning a spot was junior Taylor Richter of BHRV. Third team honors went to senior Kaylea Van Regenmorter of Sioux Center.
